Why We Should Not

Listen to our MP3 players on the bus.

Setting: Bus No. 66, approx. 100m from my usual stop.
Situation: A bulky guy is standing in front of me. I’m trying to get off the bus. He’s listening to his iPod.

Me: Excuse me.
Guy: *doesn’t respond*
The bus is now 70m from my usual stop.
Me: EXcuse me.
Guy: *doesn’t respond*
The bus is now 50m from my usual stop.
Me: EXCUSE ME SIR!
Guy: *shocked, finally moves out of the way*

This is why we should not listen to our MP3 players on the bus, especially if we’re alone and are unaware of our surroundings. If you’re the kind that would die without his/her music, at least listen to it at a volume where you can still hear others around you.

Ho hum. Ran 4 extra rounds with Wendy today after we were dismissed from PE. That makes 7 rounds in total. I feel a certain sense of achievement that comes with sweating.

No PE this Friday, or next Monday! I don’t know if that’s good or bad. The latter probably. Putting on weight from Chinese New Year goodies is not the best thing ever.

I’m just typing whatever comes to my mind right now, which is why this entry is so… disorganised. We did some personality/learning type quiz for GC today. My top 3: Intrapersonal, Logical/Mathematical, Verbal/Linguistic. Didn’t really come as a surprise to me. The quiz I took a few years back told me I was a Logical/Mathematical person. Does that mean I’ve changed somewhat?

Going out with Cherie tomorrow. I hope nothing crops up (that requires a change of plans), or I will be annoyed beyond imagination. In any case, if that really does happen, one reply I hope I WILL NOT (but am most likely to) get when I “complain” is, “I also wanted to go shopping/this/that whaaaat.” Really, the fact that you wanted to do other things but decided to give it up “in favour” of this or that seriously doesn’t make a difference to me. So it wasn’t really one of your top priorities, so you weren’t really bummed out by it. That’s you.

I shall complete at least half of the Physics report by tonight. Hung reminded me that it was by Thursday and not Wednesday, and that’s good I guess.

Just received a message from Bianca. She tells me that I’m playing Rebecca Gibbs in the SYF play. That’s something new I guess! It gave me a shock though. Mr Whitby was emphasizing on the fact that Rebecca was one to be SMALL last week, three feet or something. I’m 165! Heh. A kid-ish role should be fun! I thought I was going to do something… old, like the Stage Manager.

Now that I’ve got something, I’m going to go look through my lines. Heh. Bye then!
